Bush Mission International is a non-profit that is fully run by volunteers. We are committed to funneling 100% of our funding directly to the mission field and towards to the work of advancing the Gospel to every people group on Earth.

Meet Our Board

  • Brent Meeks

    Brent is a member of Central Baptist Church Paragould Campus where he serves as a deacon, leads a Bible study for men, and a Sunday morning prayer team. He also leads two prayer meetings for the public in Jonesboro and Paragould. He and his wife Lauren have been married for over 10 years and have two daughters, Ella and Lindy. As a graduate of Arkansas State University, he has worked in real estate for over a decade.

    Brent was raised on the mission field in Taiwan until the age of 17. From childhood, he felt a personal call to missions and has regularly answered that call by going on mission trips to different parts of the world. He feels that leading Bush Mission International is not only carrying out the Lord’s calling on his life, but also empowering and equipping others to do the same.

  • Luke Lewallen

    Luke Lewallen has been a Christ follower since the age of 22 and attends church at The Crossing in Paragould, AR. He is married to Alicia Lewallen and they have two sons, Leo and Roan. Luke is a mental health professional and owns a private practice where he provides individual and family therapy.

    Luke has been active in mission trips all over the world and is now committed to the work and direction of Bush Mission International.

  • Dr. John Huff

    John Huff, DVM is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine, and is the owner of a small animal veterinary practice in Jonesboro, Arkansas. John and his wife Andrea have been married for 32 years and have 5 children.

    Dr. Huff volunteers as a chaplain at the Craighead County Juvenile Detention Center and serves on the board of directors for Focus, Inc., a center for developmentally disabled adults and children. He is active as a deacon at his church, Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro where he and his wife also lead a life group for young married couples. John and Andrea frequently travel to East Central Africa to work in remote and less served areas.

  • Jeff Wicker

    Jeff is a graduate of Arkansas State University and is the managing partner of a regional certified public accounting firm. He is a member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He has been married to his wife, Debbie, for more than 17 years and they have five children. For ten years, he and Debbie have been ministering to individuals who are experiencing divorce or separation. They’ve also been blessed to serve on various mission fields at home and abroad for a number of years.

  • Danny Morris

    Danny has been married to his wife, Lindsey, for seventeen years, and they have one daughter, Melaina. After serving on staff as an intern and pastor at Central Baptist Church for five years, the Lord called Danny and his family to move to Spokane, WA in 2019 where he now serves as the discipleship pastor of The Rock Church, a NAMB church plant.

    Danny, Lindsey, and Melaina have had many opportunities to serve on short-term mission trips and lead an international ministry. They have a heart for reaching the nations. Danny is excited to serve with Bush Missions to see the Gospel reach the remotest parts of our world.

  • Gabriel Black

    Gabriel grew up on the mission field with his family in Southeast Asia from ages 6 to 18 years. At age 18 he moved to America and attended college at Arkansas State University. Gabe married his wife, Tifani in 2014 as college students. Gabe and Tifani began working for Shadrachs Coffee as baristas in 2015. After several years of management, Gabe and Tifani opened the first franchise of Shadrachs Coffee in Paragould, AR. They now own and operate that location with a second store opening soon.

    Gabe and Tifani have one daughter, Lila. They attend Central Baptist Paragould Campus for church, and he is excited to now be a part of the BMI team!

  • Dr. Blake Ligon

    Dr. Blake Ligon

    Dr. Blake Ligon is the Teaching Pastor at Central Baptist Church, Paragould Campus. He is passionate about expository preaching, leadership development, family discipleship, vision casting, and manliness within the local church. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry from Ouachita Baptist University. He received his Master's of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, and his Doctorate in Executive Leadership from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He enjoys cycling, fly-fishing, kayaking, hiking, reading, art, and traveling. He is married to his best friend Joy, and they are having a blast raising their three children.

Doctrine

Because our faith informs everything we do, our beliefs are essentials to who we are as people and as a mission organization.

We are committed to the fundamental doctrines of the Christian tradition. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God; we are all born sinners, in need of a Savior; there are three persons in one God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; and Jesus offers us His redemption, salvation, eternal life, and His Kingdom.
